Kaempferia gilbertii '3-D Variegated'- This variety is a sport of Kaempferia gilbertii. The leaves are white, dark green, and light green. Small, shade-loving plant with long narrow striped leaves. Blooms late spring into summer; has small white and purple flowers that resemble orchids. Variegated foliage is main attraction. Plant grows to 5 inches. Goes dormant in winter. Zones 8 and higher.
