Product Details:

Cycas circinalis ‘Queen Sago’ -This graceful cycad has featherlike leaves and is often referred to as the “Queen sago.”  Cycas circinalis is native to equatorial Africa and is not cold hardy.  Can easily be grown in a pot in colder areas.  Does best with full sun but will tolerate moderate shade.  Prefers loose, sandy soils with good drainage.  The trunk can grow up to 20 feet tall in tropical areas and has leaves up to 8 feet long. 

 

Growing Zone:

10 and higher. "Hardiness" is the capability of a plant to survive cold temperatures. In order to provide a system for identifying the extent of cold temperatures in a particular location, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a map that divides North America into eleven Hardiness Zones.
