Ships in 10" Plastic Nursery Pot 30-36 inches in height.

Filicium decipiens Japanese Fern Tree -Has large fern like leaves. Dense leaves makes for a great shade tree. Slow growing reaching a height of 30 to 35 feet. Drought tolerant once established. Cold sensitive, should be greenhoused or brought indoors when temps will be in the low 30’s.  Blooms small creamy white flowers mid spring to early summer. Likes full sun to part shade.

Growing Zone:

10 and higher. "Hardiness" is the capability of a plant to survive cold temperatures. In order to provide a system for identifying the extent of cold temperatures in a particular location, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a map that divides North America into eleven Hardiness Zones.
