Product Details:

Ships bare rooted. Growing in a 3 gallon pot, 14" in height

Heliconia stricta cv. Dwarf Jamaican is a real beauty that is small, 1 1/2 to 3 feet in height and does well in pots. Very beautiful 5 inch dainty inflorescence that are deep rose-colored and evenly grade from pale to deep hues. Each bract is ridged with green on its upper edge, matching the tiny green and white striped sepals. Blooms year round with a winter peak. Adapts beautifully to variable temperatures. Grows in full sun to 60% shade.

Growing Zone:

10 and higher. "Hardiness" is the capability of a plant to survive cold temperatures. In order to provide a system for identifying the extent of cold temperatures in a particular location, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a map that divides North America into eleven Hardiness Zones.
