Product Details:

Ships barerooted. Growing in a 3 gallon pot 20-24 inches in height.

Reed-Stem Epidendrum-One of the easiest to grow Orchids! Its leaves are leathery which grow up the cane, where beautiful 1" mini-cattleya shaped flowers appear in globular heads of 30 to 40 flowers at a time. Reed-stem epidendrums grow readily in almost any setting, whether in a pot, mounted on a cork slab, or in raised flowerbeds outdoors, as climate permits.   They need bright light, even full sun, for strong, sturdy growth. When fertilized regularly they respond immediately with denser flower spikes, greener, stronger leaves and more robust roots.

Growing Zone:

9 and higher. "Hardiness" is the capability of a plant to survive cold temperatures. In order to provide a system for identifying the extent of cold temperatures in a particular location, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a map that divides North America into eleven Hardiness Zones.
