Myrica cerifera ‘Wax Myrtle’, ‘Southern Wax Myrtle’, ‘Southern Bayberry’

Shipped bare root. 1-2 feet in height.

Native to the United States, ‘Wax Myrtle’ grows along the eastern coast from southern Florida to New Jersey. It is also found growing in a variety of other places from swamps to the upland woods in the Gulf States to Texas. This beautiful semi-evergreen tree is very popular and commonly used in landscaping. The narrow leaves are gray-green to yellow-green and are aromatic if crushed. ‘Wax Myrtle’ is fast growing and thrives in a wide range of conditions.
