Product Details:

Ships bare-rooted. Growing in 1 gallon pot. 10-12 inches in height.

Tulbaghia violacea ‘Society Garlic’-Native to South Africa, this plant isn’t actually garlic, but does have the same smell and is said to repel aphids and other insects. The narrow leaves are evergreen and resemble onion leaves. When bruised the leaves have an onion scent. ‘Society Garlic’ grows from 6 to 24 inches in height. Produces purple flowers from mid spring through summer. Flowers are fragrant but don’t have an appealing smell therefore are not good for cut flowers. Water regularly but be sure not to overwater. Grows and thrives in full sun.
