Zamia fischeri is a small cycad with a subterranean trunk. It has very thin leaflets that resemble that of a fern. The spineless leaves can reach up to 30 cm long and usually drape down. Native to forests in Mexico. New leaves are reddish-orange. A very interesting and easy to grow cycad.
