Synadenium grantii Chameleon Plant- A very fast growing euphorb from East Africa. Has also been called Red Milk Bush because of its red leaves and milky sap. A very easy-to-grow plant that has thick, leathery leaves. Grows very fast reaching 6 to 7 feet in one growing season in Zones 9 and higher. Plant is unusual in that you can start off with a solid maroon or a solid green leaved form and it can change to mottled form or go from green ot maroon or maroon to green. Some older plants have all three colored leaf stages on the same plant. Flowers are very small and inconspicuous. Makes a good pot plant. Medium to full sun. Zones 10 and higher.
