Our Price: $49.95

Scientific Name:

Euphorbia milii

Product Details:

Euphorbia milii 'Cranberry Cowboy'- Exotic looking, grayish bark with silvery spines. Controlled growth habit to about 2 or 3 feet tall. Dark cranberry florets that are very distinctive. One of our most dramatic plants, it looks "Madagascarish". Easy to grow and thrives on neglect (just give lots of light, low water, little fertilizer and small growing space). Great container plant; great houseplant. Can be grown outside but bring it inside before freezes.

These are wonderful Thai Euphorbia milii hybrids that are considered to be lucky plants by the Thais in Bangkok, Thailand. There are literally hundreds of these fantastic hybrids--each with different flower bracts, flowers, and/or leaves. They are traded and sold in the markets of Bangkok. There are several full-color books in Thai covering the many cultivars of these amazing plants. Having one of these exquisite easy-to-care for plants is believed to confer good luck on the plant owner and their home. Since they are a cactus-like succulent, they require little care, little water, and little food. They prefer strong light and soil on the dry side. And they don't require a lot of growing space. They thrive and flower in a small pot and can be shaped by judicious pruning. Try one or more of our Siamese Lucky Plants--maybe they'll make you lucky!

Growing Zone:

10 and higher. "Hardiness" is the capability of a plant to survive cold temperatures. In order to provide a system for identifying the extent of cold temperatures in a particular location, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a map that divides North America into eleven Hardiness Zones.

Product Reviews:

neighbors love it in the front room window and it is sturdy

By: Sue Ann McGuire
Pros it just keeps blooming all the time. all who pass by the window are sure it must be artificial. i do feed it and water it when the soil is dry as deep as an inch. love this plant
Cons nothing to dislike, but i wonder if when i prune it, can i grow the pieces i cut off in water to start roots. or in soil . it is a heavy plant and i support it at angles to keep it looking beautiful
Comments it is an absolute picture of artistic beauty in the front window. it does occasionally drop leaves and fertilizer gives it the boost it seems to need. i want to make it multiply so i can give the neighbors a plant. the original plant came from wholefoods years ago
