Aspidistra elatior Dwarf, Spotted Cast Iron Plant- Native to China, the Dwarf, Spotted Cast Iron Plant forms clumps that grow from 10 to 15 inches tall. This species had dark green leaves with yellow spots scattered on the surface. Dwarf, Spotted Cast Iron Plant makes a wonderful house plant because it can grow in poorly lit areas; also makes great goundcover for shady areas. In spring time, cream to purple-colored flowers are produced at ground level. Can withstand extended dry periods, but it is best to water regularly. An easy-to-grow plant that thrives in the shady areas.
