Ornamental Peppers- Are grown for their decorative peppers and are real assets to any landscape or interiorscape. They grow into small bushes. The peppers are produced on the plant in August/September and usually stay until the first frost. Shapes and colors of peppers differ depending on variety; colors can be red, yellow, orange, and purple. For best growth, plant in full sun to light shade. They like rich, well-drained soil and hot weather. They are very drought tolerant, but for best growth, should be be watered when soil is completely dry. Ornamental peppers make great container plants and bring color and texture to any setting. We have 5 different varieties, each with their own special character:
Red Missile- The peppers on Red Missile are cream, orange, and bright red. The peppers are approximately 2 inches long.
Chilly Chili- The peppers on Chilly Chili are green, yellow, orange, and dark red. The peppers are approximately 2 to 2 1/2 inches long.
Masquerade- The peppers on Masquerade are dark purple to deep orange. The peppers are approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches long.
Explosive Ember- The peppers on Explosive Ember are dark purple to deep red. The peppers are approximately 1 inch long.
Black Pearl- The peppers on the Black Pearl are purple to dark red, they are small and round.
