Pleioblastus pygamaeus ramosissimus Pygmy Bamboo- A small bamboo with a unique fan-shaped leaf pattern that spreads quickly. Pygmy Bamboo does great in containers. When planted in the landscape, it makes an ideal ground cover because of its dwarf size. This is one of our most cold hardiest bamboos and one of our lowest priced bamboos. Pygmy Bamboo is easy to grow and maintain. Great starter plant for new bamboo enthusiasts.

Growing Zone:

6 and higher. "Hardiness" is the capability of a plant to survive cold temperatures. In order to provide a system for identifying the extent of cold temperatures in a particular location, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a map that divides North America into eleven Hardiness Zones.
