Hedychium coronarium 'White Butterfly'- Called 'White Butterfly' ginger. It is the most fragrant of the Hedychiums and is the largest flower and the hardiest. Few other plants are as redolent as this mariposa. Originally from India and Indonesia, it traveled to Hawaii, where it remains popular for use in leis. Flowers from late summer into the fall. Prefers partial shade, but will grow in full sun. Grows 4 to 5 feet tall. Will grow in water. Zones 7 and higher.

Growing Zone:
